Connecting to VPNs in JCC San Francisco
ok... working from a cafe today, the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco. And I ran into problems using my VPN connection. I connected to my IBM VPN but ran into all kinds of weird problems coming from a cache.opendns.com address telling me that it couldn't open webpages. Essentially, all internal addresses were not correctly resolved from that DNS or rather all DNS requests weren't routed to the DNS of the VPN. So I finally figured out how to connect to IBM's VPN. I just had to set the DNS of my wireless connection profile to IBMs DNS server 9.1.1.1 and all addresses got resolved correctly...

Why you should always check your children's homework
found and copied from here...
A first grade girl handed in the drawing below for a homework assignment.
Why parents should always check their children's homework before they hand it in:

After it was graded and the child brought it home, she returned to school the next day with the following note:
Dear Ms. Davis,
I want to be very clear on my child's illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint. I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm. This drawing is of me selling a shovel.

Cyclic dependencies in OSGi with PDE build
So I am stuck with some OSGi bundle fun which I try to build using the eclipse PDE environment.
As a lot of the bundles in my target platform are third party plugins (like spring dm bundles etc) I ran into errors like this a lot":
One very useful property introduced in eclipse 3.4 PDE is the allowBinaryCycles which should be set to true as this prevents this error.
I found this here .. thanks to Chris Aniszczyk...

stop your feets
Dog walking Bill, Daisy and Spike with Hanna, Jordi and Dora today at Fort Funston.. beautiful weather. Dora walked for at least 2/3 of the walk.. the rest was mostly in "uppie" position which is way my back needs to get stronger (if not for the baby alone).
At some point Dora walked a little behind us and shouted: "Wait.. Mommie wait for me! Stop your feets!" ... I think the language learning phase is one of the most precious times with kids (at least for me as a wannabe linguist)...
